Team ulaunch interacted with the BVPIEEE team at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, New Delhi. The webinar was conducted on 30th May 2020.
Titled Social Entrepreneurship 101, it focussed on the scope, significance and opportunities in Social Entrepreneurship in the Indian context. The interactive session discussed Entrepreneurship and how to go about shaping the startup idea. The effect of Corona pandemic was also discussed on the employment scenario in the short to medium term.
The attendees put up inquisitive questions to chart out the ideal path in these uncertain times. They were passionate about solving the problems faced by our society with the use of technology. They also gained insight into the inter-linkages of issues and why comprehensive knowledge is required for sustainable and effective solutions.
This requires studying and researching on aspects outside the Engineering curriculum such as economics, social sciences, environmental sciences, etc.
Such engagements provide a great platform for knowledge sharing for both sides. They help to shed light on upcoming opportunities and the means to work towards overcoming the challenges. Thus paths are paved for convergence and synergistic networking, which help the budding entrepreneurs in realizing their dreams.
