The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has unleashed upon the world a disaster of unforeseen proportions. On the forefront of this battle are the health & sanitation workers and agencies providing essential and emergency services- civic agencies, police, NDRF, fire service, NGOs and volunteers to name a few. They are the heroes ensuring our well being in this hour of crisis and uncertainty. They have friends and families just like us, but they are putting the nation above everything else even if it means endangering their own lives.
As citizens, we need to realise that these heroes are putting the national interest first and foremost. It is therefore disheartening to hear stories of people hampering their work and acts as a morale dampener for them.
